is an art project to represent a genome using cross stitch. It is a collaboration, where participants are given cross stitch “kits” to complete. The finished kits will be joined together to form a visual representation of the genome of the bacteria Nasuia deltocephalinicola (found in the gut of leaf hoppers).
This project comprises of 243 individual panels stitched by participating artists and the stitching community, with the final piece being a whopping 4.5 metres by 1.5 meters in size! Head to the “About” page to learn more about the project itself.
