The Genomic Cross Stitch Project

is an art project to represent a genome using cross stitch. It is a collaboration, where participants are given cross stitch “kits” to complete. The finished kits will be joined together to form a visual representation of the genome of the bacteria Nasuia deltocephalinicola (found in the gut of leaf hoppers).

Head to the “About” page to learn more about the project itself.

If you’re interesting in participating in the Genomic Cross Stitch Project, sign up on the “Participate” page and the artist (Darren Cullerne) will be in touch soon.
