FAQs

If at any point you are unsure of things or have any questions, please feel free to email Darren at gxs.info@darrencullerne.com. He’ll get back to you as soon as he can.

I ran out of coloured thread… OH NO!

No stress. Email Darren with what colours you need and (roughly) how many squares you have remaining and he will organise to get some more thread to you.

Updates on your progress

As you stitch your pattern, if you can email Darren (with your name and your pattern) when you’ve stitched about 25% (88 blocks), 50% (176 blocks) and 75% (264 blocks), we’ll update out information with everyone’s progress and the project overall.

I’m DONE! … Now what?

That’s AMAZING! Put the completed stitching back into the bag and send it back to Darren (if you’ve lost the return address, email Darren). Make sure the bag has your name and the pattern you completed, but please, please, please, leave the aida fabric UNTRIMMED. All of the pieces will be joined together, so the more aida that surrounds your piece, the more we can work with. If you’d like to complete another pattern (AWESOME!), get in touch and we’ll get another kit to you.

What if I can’t finish my pattern?

Don’t stress… It happens. Life gets in the way, your situation changes and everything gets thrown out of whack. First up, contact Darren and let him know. If you know someone who would like to participate, you’re welcome to pass the pattern to them (just let Darren know that’s the plan). Otherwise, send the aida, floss, pattern and other materials back and someone will complete the pattern. Even if you’ve only got a little bit done, you’ll still be acknowledged for participating.

Can I personalise the stitching? Put something in to make it “mine”?

In this project, there are 243 patterns being joined together, so consistency is key. However, if you want to supply a small, separate piece (like your name, a tag or a very small pattern), we’ll try to put it on the reverse of the finished piece.
